Bank of St Helena installs iBank for Internet Banking
The Bank of St Helena, based in the middle of the South Atlantic, has recently gone live on London based iFinancial’s iBank Internet banking system. The bank is primarily a retail banking operation which has been a user of iFinancial’s core banking system BankWare since 2000. The bank wanted to offer a much improved service to its customers many of whom reside all over the world. Local business has also benefited from the improvements in service particularly in respect of cash management, payments and payroll services.
iBank enables the Bank’s customer to enjoy a real-time experience when managing their account(s) and has enabled the bank to introduce Straight Through Processing in respect of local payments. This will be extended to SWIFT payments when the bank’s membership is confirmed later in the year.
Implementation assistance for project, throughout the whole of the testing and parallel running was provided remotely from iFinancial’s London offices as was the vulnerability testing of the bank’s website.
Rosie Bargo, Managing Director of Bank of St Helena, said “We are extremely excited to be able to offer our customers around the world the convenience of Internet Bank and improved payment services. We look forward to the challenges that lay ahead in continuing to strive to provide the best experience possible to our customers”
